Costco.com is a train wreck

I have been a loyal Costco member since 1994. Costco.com is a nightmare. My recent experience includes the following:
- Some time-sensitive items were not shipped on time u set the 2-day delivery commitment. The Costco.com call agent blamed UPS.
- I asked to cancel the order specifically telling them about a previous experience where I had cancelled and was charged anyway since they said the item was shipped. I said I would go to the warehouse so pl be sure they are not shipped.
- I was at the warehouse having bought the time-sensitive items when I saw a notification that UPS was preparing a shipment. I spoke to the store manager who called Costco.com who promised her and me that the shipment was stopped.
- Next day I receive notification that UPS has shipped. I call Costco.com and eventually reach a supervisor who calls UPS and assured me the shipment is stopped.
- A few days later I see that there are individual emails for each item to be refunded in the order. I notice that one item is not in any of the emails. I call Costco.com and reach an incompetent agent who does not even bother to try and understand my problem . She says I was refunded but it might take 3/5 days for the credit to show up on my card. I explain that I did not receive any notification for some items. She places me on an interminable hold and repeats what she said before.
- Frustrated that she did not even understand my question, I ask for a supervisor. 30 min later one comes on line. Hopefully he understands. He says he will put me in hold. I explain I cannot bear to hear the Costco.com hold music any longer. He promises to resolve the issue and reach me today. I’m waiting.
- I have spent close to 4 hours on the phone over this order. I can’t believe that a competent Vice President runs Costco.com. Honestly, I could do a better job. Shame since I have been a satisfied Costco warehouse customer since 1994.

Website order shaft

They had one job: deliver a 75" flatscreen to the house. The email said they'd be here between 7a and 9p y'day, and, of course, they never showed, no call, text, nothing. Called the warehouse, they can't reschedule delivery for at least a few days. Been on phone for an hour with them now waiting for a supervisor. I wouldn't have had to go through this if they accepted mastercard at the store terminals, where they had the tv I wanted - they only take MC online. Never again, demanding refund on TV and membership. Do not use these worthless people.

Two Last Minute Cancellations on Delivery

Twice Costco Logistics has cancelled my order last minute, after I have waited around for their delivery, this time without contacting me about the cancellation at all. I received a phone call last night confirming my order, a text this morning confirming my order, plus another computer-generated phone call that my order was arriving today at 1 pm, but they never showed. I've never experienced such horrible service.

Costco unapologetically does NOT guarantee availability of PUBLISHED sale items.

Costco sends us a book with sale items, monthly. The goal is to lure us in. But when the advertized, published item is unavailable, they do nothing at all to satisfy customer. They say "we do not guarantee that sales items are available." Really? You drag us in by published promise to have items, and then not even "sorry"? NO substitutes? You lose TRUST by doing it. And so a potential 5 stars shrinks to fit 2 stars.

Horrible Costco experience - Stuck between Costco & GE finder pointing at each other.

I bought a GE Cafe 30" Double Wall Over from Costco online. The purchase included Installation and haul away; On 1st delivery attempt, the installer indicated my cabinets needed modification and I needed to get that modified and reschedule. So, I had a carpenter modify the cabinets and then rescheduled. The 2nd delivery (this time a 3rd party company) came, said they only deliver and don't do install... The delivery guy was very unprofessional - one of the worst I have seen. I said, Costco had confirmed that it will be installed, so let me call Costco. To that, the delivery guy says, "I have already spent too much time. We have lots of delivery to do so I can't wait" so you need to make a decision to keep or send back and started walking. By the time I walk from the kitchen to the front door (15 - 20 sec), they dropped off the box, blocking my door, and drove off. I did not accept delivery, did not sign papers, and don't know what to do with this huge box blocking my door.

Called Costco (3 calls, 4 hrs and going), all I get from Costco is I am sorry. I hate to be rude but it does not solve my problem. They can't pick it back up, can't get another installer for 7 days, won't pay 3rd party to come to install...

I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years and spend a lot... Not a good way to keep customers, Costco.

Costco Customer Service

The Costco in Bloomingdale, IL is the best. Every Costco employee I have had the pleasure to deal with at this store has shown that they put their customers first.
Whenever I inquire about a product that is out of stock in that store, they check online and nearby stores to see if they have any in stock. They have even called the other store and had the item put on hold for me.
I will continue to renew my membership and shop at Bloomingdale Costco because of the great customer service.

Why no more yogurt?

For so many years since opening the first Costco store on Indian School Road in Phoenix, Az, I and my family have been members. However, due to the pandemic in 2020 Costco immediately wiped out the food demonstrators, which was understandable at the time, but it was the heart and fun of shopping in there. For me it was the best place to buy a frozen Yogurt cheaply priced, sit down at the food court and enjoy a delicious healthy dessert, watch the shoppers, other eaters, converse or not with others, it was a day to look forward too before or after shopping or just for anytime! Why Costco stopped serving the healthy yogurt that has probiotics and replace it with such a high fat ice cream loaded with tons of sugar and chemicals was a not healthy alternative, plus no more sitting down at the food court, very membership unfriendly to say the least. Miss those days, so I finally found SAMs Club that offers dessert choices at their food court the frozen yogurt delight and the ice cream! Still no seating, but if they would just put outside seating with umbrellas as Costco used to do years ago it would be a total winner!

I am not a criminal I just have breathing issues

I have been a member @ Costco for 4 years now. I have always noticed the people that work there tend to not be very friendly but, I guess I got over that UNTIL.....
I have an anxiety which results in a breathing problem which can hinder my mask wearing. Carry a Doctors note stating the mask can cause this. So I have been careful and several times have gone to Costco in the past year without a mask and all was fine.
On Feb 7th I went again. Walked just fine through most of the store following the rules (mask on) then got hot and nervous and was having trouble breathing. Dropped my mask below my nose and mouth but, kept it on my face. Proceeded to the check out. There I was talked to and treated like a criminal. Now this is getting me a little worked up as well. Calling ALL kinds of people to ORDER me to put my maske over my nose and mouth or they won't ring me up. They are so confused there. Recommendation DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!!

I've been a Costco member for over 30…

I've been a Costco member for over 30 years. Been happy and it has been my preferred place to shop for items they carry. You used to be able to feel good about Costco, but that has changed. They are not any better than any other retailer who will gouge customers if they can. EXAMPLE I have been buying Kirkland Organic Frozen Blueberries for a very long time. Three pounds for $7.99. Today I see they did not have the three pound bag, but instead had an 18 oz bag, same brand, same looking bag for $6.99! So they went from .17 to .39 per ounce. That's obviously over a 100 % increase in one jump. Tricky........you have to be careful, Costco is not what used to be.
I gave three stars because of their return policy.

Another face mask nazi company. I hope these types of businesses don’t make it. I won’t be told what kind of face covering to wear. I won’t renew my membership.
PS: Hand washing works better.

Wish they had a feedback item printed on the receipt, and that they would accept feedback on the employees, products

Gaithersburg only allows 1 per…

Gaithersburg only allows 1 per membership card. Single mom with two kids was unable to shop there because my kids couldn't come with me. Want others to be aware. Sams club will allow a mother with 2 kids to shop in their store. I will not be renewing membership.
